RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins reports this evening that both Monaco and Rennes are interested in signing Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, although the two Ligue 1 sides also face competition from potential suitors in England and Italy.
The former England youth international has just completed his third season with Fulham – having been a regular starter in all of them. According to RMC, confusion over the length of Adarabioyo’s contract could play in the French team’s favour. The 25-year-old reportedly believes that his deal expires at the end of the month – however, the Cottagers insist that they have an option to keep him for an extra campaign.
The Manchester City youth graduate would otherwise cost between €10m and €15m, although Monaco and Rennes would be particularly interested if they are able to sign him on a free, with both clubs looking to reinforce their backline with at least one recruit. The Principality side in particular were already linked with a move back in January for the former West Bromwich and Blackburn defender.
