As reported by Mike Verweij, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Diant Ramaj has reached a verbal agreement with Ajax.
Both clubs are now working on finding an agreement, which should be reached. Ramaj (21), who has represented Germany at youth level and played two Bundesliga games last season at Eintracht, will become Ajax’s second goalkeeper behind Gerónimo Rulli following an injury to Remko Pasveer.
Sparta Rotterdam’s Nick Olij (28) was also on Ajax’s radar but they believe Ramaj has a higher ceiling. Kicker further add that Ajax hope to sign Ramaj on an initial loan deal, but don’t state whether a purchase option will be included.
Ramaj departing Eintracht Frankfurt would leave the Hessen club with Jens Grahl (34) to provide competition to Kevin Trapp (33), the latter of which is committed to Eintracht despite interest from across Europe.
Born in Stuttgart, Ramaj is also of Kosovan descent and has represented Germany at youth level from U18s to the U20s.
