According to Florian Plettenberg, Valencia’s deal for Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza is set to be hijacked by CA Osasuna.
It had previously been reported that Der Rekordmeister were willing to let Zaragoza leave the Allianz Arena this summer in order to allow the Spaniard to find game time elsewhere.
This led to both Valencia and FC Girona going head-to-head to secure the former Granada winger’s signature.
It had appeared as though Valencia had won the battle, with Zaragoza indicating to Bayern that he would like the chance to play for the club.
Nevertheless, over the past 24 hours, another La Liga side look ready to hijack the deal.
It is understood that Osasuna have been in positive discussions with the record champions regarding a one-year loan without an option to buy, which is Bayern’s preference.
As well as this, they are also willing to offer Bayern a loan fee while also paying a significant part of the 22-year-old’s wage.
It is believed that Osasuna are now in pole position to land Zaragoza, with Valencia ultimately missing out.
