Mats Hummels played an “unbelievable” game against AC Milan, says Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic.

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic was full of praise for Mats Hummels after the veteran centre-back was named UEFA Player of the Match in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over AC Milan.

“Mats is important not only because of his quality, but also because of his experience. He has seen and experienced everything in football,” Teric told reporters after the match.

“Mats played an unbelievable game today. He won almost every duel and gave us a lot of security with and against the ball. He deserved to be man of the match,” he added.

Hummels, who turns 35 next month, has been a mainstay in Dortmund’s starting lineup this season, appearing in all but two of the club’s matches.
