Xavi Simons was forced off with a shoulder injury in the second half of RB Leipzig’s 3-2 Champions League defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday.
Speaking after the game, RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose gave an update on the 20-year-old youngster.
“He had a little problem with his circulation, which indicates that something is not quite right. But the doctor was able to give him a little reassurance,” Rose said at the post-match press conference.
“It doesn’t look like there’s anything broken. Hopefully it is not that serious.
“He was feeling a little better in the locker room. But we will have to examine him tomorrow,” Rose said.
Whether Simons will be fit for Leipzig’s next match against Heidenheim on Saturday is still unclear.
