Sections of the home crowd in attendance at Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca on Wednesday made use of the opportunity to show their appreciation for manager Carlo Ancelotti.
This of course comes ahead of the Italian’s upcoming departure from Spain’s capital.
Real Madrid marked their return to action a short time ago, playing host to the aforementioned Mallorca in a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, an injury-ravaged Blancos side emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result, thanking surprise hero Jacobo Ramón for a last-gasp winner.
Carlo Ancelotti took his place on the touchline for the matchup, his penultimate home fixture as manager of Real Madrid.
And as alluded to above, the significance of as much was not lost on sections of those in attendance at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Momentarily putting to one side the club’s difficult campaign in 2024/25, the supporters in question came together to belt out chants of:
‘Carlo Ancelotti, Carlo Ancelotti’
