Real Madrid have positioned themselves at the front of the queue to snap up one of Spanish football’s most highly-regarded talents.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have provided an insight into the fight for the signature of Real Valladolid teenager Guilherme Ruck, nicknamed ‘Gui’.
Ruck is a 14-year-old midfielder, currently plying his trade in the academy setup of Segunda outfit Valladolid.
Despite his tender years, the Brazilian, who has previously spent time on the books of SC Braga and FC Porto in Portugal, is already considered a future star in the making.
Ruck’s ability to dictate play from the middle of the park has piqued the attentions of a whole host of clubs across not only Spain, but Europe as a whole.
And, as alluded to above, one such suitor comes in the form of Real Madrid.
As per AS, Madrd’s head of recruitment Juni Calafat has set his sights firmly on Ruck’s signature, desperate to add yet another Brazilian talent to the youth setup in Spain’s capital.
Though Barcelona are also keen, Real are viewed as frontrunners to strike a deal, with negotiations with Valladolid, therefore, being lined up for the months ahead.
