Milan have, on Thursday, been afforded some timely positive news on the personnel front.
The subject of injury woes have of course taken their place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of the Milan divide for several weeks now.
This comes with Stefano Pioli’s squad having been ravaged by a whole host of blows to key performers.
The likes of Rafael Leão, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, Davide Calabria and Pierre Kalulu have all, at one point or another, been forced onto the sidelines.
Safe to say, then, that all associated with the Rossoneri were no doubt praying for some positive news on the injury front, ahead of their side’s return to action in a little over a week’s time.
And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, that is precisely what has been forthcoming.
As confirmed by MilanNews, amongst other sources, Ismaël Bennacer was spotted back in full training at Milanello earlier today.
The Algerian international has not taken to the pitch since all the way back in May, after picking up a serious knee injury during a derby meeting with Inter.
Now, though, the former Arsenal talent at long last appears to be closing on a comeback, with the player aiming to return to action to the Milan matchday fold in mid-December.
It is therefore not out of the question that Bennacer could be called up for the Africa Cup of Nations, too.
