The transfer team at Juventus have identified a new target amid the club’s ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park.
It is of course common knowledge that the Juve brass have pinpointed Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield ranks as being in need of fresh blood with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.
This comes with the Bianconeri’s options having been hit hard by the long-term bans handed down to both Paul Pogba and Nicolò Fagioli.
A whole host of names, in turn, have been tipped to take their respective talents to Turin, from Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips to OGC Nice standout Khéphren Thuram to Rodrigo De Paul of Atletico Madrid.
And, as alluded to above, if the latest word doing the rounds in the media is anything to go by, then, on Thursday, yet another name is understood to have been added to Juventus’ watchlist.
As per a report from RMC Sport, via Calciomercato, Monaco star Youssouf Fofana has piqued the attentions of those at the Allianz Stadium.
The 24-year-old was afforded a call-up to the latest France national team squad by Didier Deschamps, with Cristiano Giuntoli set to keep a close eye on Les Bleus’ upcoming meetings with Gibraltar and Greece, in the hopes of catching a further glimpse of Fofana’s talents.
A January offer could in turn be forthcoming on Juve’s part, albeit with it noted that both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the Monaco standout, too.
