Barcelona full-back Sergino Dest is now very close to moving to Milan despite heavy links with a move to Manchester United.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that after Alessandro Florenzi picked up an injury against Sassuolo yesterday, Milan have decided to act in the market to find a potential replacement. Dest then came up as a target for the Rossoneri.
In the last few hours, Milan found an agreement with Barcelona regarding an initial loan deal for the American, who will now join the San Siro-based side and they will have the option to buy him permanently as well.
It was previously suggested that United were looking to sign Dest on an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently, if they could ship out Aaron Wan-Bissaka on time. They were looking to free up the funds initially to then progress with a move for the right-back, but their hopes have now been dashed.
