Per an earlier Bild report, Gladbach want Leipzig to pay €10 million to sign Sporting Director Max Eberl. This is because Eberl is actually still under contract with Gladbach until 2026 and only left in January due to mental exhaustion.

Leipzig director Oliver Mintzlaff has now stated at a Leipziger Volkszeitung event that, “I can deny everything that has been written. I can also deny that we have an agreement with Max Eberl. I can only say that we are in good talks.”

It remains to be seen whether Leipzig will pay that €10 million sum, but a move to name Eberl as their new sporting director still seems imminent.
