Alassane Plea and Jonas Hofmann have release clauses around €10 million beginning after the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, according to Sport Bild. The contracts also run until 2025, but if they play a certain number of contests, their deals can both be extended by another year.
Roland Virkus is the man behind all these contract extensions, as current Gladbach Sporting Director Max Eberl is still on leave due to mental exhaustion.
