RB Leipzig’s Lukas Klostermann is not getting the playing time he wants this season and could be heading for the exit door.
The versatile 26-year-old defender, who is out of contract in the summer of 2024, told Bild:
“Of course you’re not always the happiest person in the world when you’re not in the first eleven. But you just have to turn that into positive energy and keep pushing. I already have the feeling that everyone will get their chance here.
Klostermann has been linked with a summer exit after slipping behind Benjamin Henrichs and Mohamed Simakan in the right-back pecking order, but insists he’s not thinking about his future at the moment.
“I think we will talk about it in the summer. At the moment, it’s all about preparing for next season’s Champions League and, if possible, bringing the cup back to Leipzig,” Klostermann explained.
