SC Freiburg have tied 25-year-old central defender Keven Schlotterbeck down to a new deal.
As customary for Freiburg, the club haven’t released any details about the length of the new deal.
“Keven’s strong left foot, his intelligent build-up play and his calmness all make him a reliable figure in our defence,” said Freiburg sporting director Klemens Hartenbach and added:
“We are pleased with our centre-back pairings. Keven, like everyone else, will have the chance to showcase his qualities on the pitch during the upcoming season and all the new challenges it will bring. We are looking forward to continuing to work together, and are very happy that he has extended his contract.”
Keven Schlotterbeck commented:
“With the exception of one year, I have wholeheartedly been at SC and will now continue my journey here. We have a lot we want to achieve in the upcoming season and I want to do my part to ensure that we remain successful.”
Schlotterbeck’s brother, Nico, has left Freiburg to sign for Borussia Dortmund this summer.
