Borussia Dortmund have made a first decision on Chelsea loanee Carney Chukwuemeka. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, the Englishman will travel to the USA for the upcoming Club World Cup but with his loan deal at the Bundesliga side only valid until June 30, it’s unclear as to whether he will remain at the club beyond that.
As reported by RN, Sebastian Kehl stated that Borussia Dortmund are negotiating a special agreement with Chelsea – which could involve Chukwuemeka remaining at the club for the duration of the Club World Cup – but that signing the 21-year-old on a permanent basis is no longer an option.
Soumaila Couliably, who spent the season on loan at Stade Brest, has also returned to the club early where he will undergo a medical because of an adductor injury and then a decision will be made as to whether or not the French defender will travel to the USA.
