To further grow the Borussia Dortmund brand, the club have planned a trip to Southeast Asia from November 21 to December 1 during the World Cup. One game against a local side will be played in each country of Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam.
While many first team members will be away in Qatar, the rest of the squad along with youth players will commit to this winter marketing tour. BVB sees this as a unique opportunity to play for supporters in this region of the world in their first tour abroad since the start of the pandemic.
Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl stated, “This exciting trip, which we are very much looking forward to, helps. In addition to the sporting challenge, we also see it as our obligation as Borussia Dortmund to represent our club and the entire Bundesliga internationally.”
