The Nigerian international’s deal has fallen through and looks unlikely to be revisited.
The planned transfer of Victor Boniface to AC Milan has fallen through, according to multiple sources like Sky Germany and BILD.
After a total of four examinations were conducted, the striker subsequently failed his medical at the Serie A club.
Milan reportedly have serious doubts about his health, as the Nigerian has already suffered two cruciate ligament tears in his career.
Boniface traveled to Milan on Friday for mandatory medicals. He was set to be loaned for a year, with an option to buy next summer.
Leverkusen could have received a total package of €29million for the 24-year-old after everything was negotiated between the clubs.
It has since been confirmed that the Nigerian marksman has returned to Germany as Leverkusen plan their next steps carefully.
