Arsenal have submitted a formal offer for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, according to Sky Sport Germany.
The Gunners have been monitoring Madueke and have stepped up their interest with a bid.
Chelsea are yet to put Madueke up for sale, but they would be open to parting ways with him for the right price, especially after signing Joao Pedro and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
If terms are agreed, Madueke could become a key addition to Arsenal, providing depth and versatility in attack as they aim to challenge for domestic and European honours.
Arsenal are expected to be very active in the summer transfer window off the back of three consecutive second-place finishes.
They are on the verge of wrapping up deals for Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard following the departures of Jorginho and Thomas Partey.
Other targets such as Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze remain on the Gunners’ radar, and a new striker is also expected to arrive.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Madueke may have to wait a little while, with Chelsea currently in action at the ongoing Club World Cup.
Enzo Maresca’s men saw off Benfica in a thrilling 4-1 win on Saturday, setting up a quarter-final clash against Palmeiras.
