The local “Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung” reports that in-demand German fullback/winger Ridle Baku may end up being the first “German Wolves to English Wolves” transfer in history.

According to Lower Saxony’s “Wolfsberger Allgemeine” Zeitung, Wolverhampton Wanders are the latest in a host of clubs to have interest in four-times-capped German international Ridle Bake. The VfL Wolfsburg professional has also been linked with an intra-company-club move to Leverkusen this offseason. Reporting on the “WAZ” report for Germany’s transfermarkt home site, journalist Marie-Theres Schwabe remarks that there has never been a transfer between Germany’s “Wölfe” and England’s “Wolves” ever.
It remains possible that Baku will be remaining put with his German club, particularly if Niko Kovac’s side can manage to qualify for the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League. This is still a realistic possibility. Baku’s current estimated market worth lies at €13 million, and Germany’s green company team is rumored to not be considering any offers below the €15 to €20 million range. The player himself might still push for a change of scenery in order to boost his presently fledgling national team prospects.
