Twenty-two-year-old German youth international Kilian Fischer looks to be out for an extended period after undergoing knee surgery this week. VfL trainer Niko Kovac revealed the news at his Thursday pre-match presser. Knee surgery looks to keep the youngster out for an extended period of time.
Fischer made ten appearances for Kovac last season.
“Kilian has had to have an operation on his knee,” Kovac explained on Thursday, “I don’t know how long it will take. Our doctors will discuss that with Kilian in the next few days. But, for the time being, he is not fit for action.”
