Sky Germany reports that Argentinos Juniors midfielder, and son of former Argentina, Real Madrid and Milan midfielder Fernando Redondo, Federico is seen as a potential replacement for Aster Vranckx.
Wolfsburg are watching Redondo and a move could materialise depending on the future of midfielder Vranckx. If the Belgian decides to not sign a new contract at the club and decides to leave in the summer then Redondo will be an option.
It was reported earlier also by Sky that Wolfsburg are trying to extend the contract of Vranckx and talks between the two parties are set to begin after the winter transfer window. After a loan spell at Milan last season, Vranckx has made himself into a start under Niko Kovac.
After a strong start to the season, Wolfsburg have begun to falter and have seen themselves drop down to 11th in the table. Their form has also put into question head coach Kovac’s future.
