Wolfsburg could add at least one more center-back to the side in the upcoming transfer window, per the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung. Maxence Lacroix, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Micky van den Ven are the only true center-backs in the first team squad at the moment.
Veteran defender John Anthony Brooks was not re-signed this summer and Wolfsburg did not bring any reinforcements to the position. Defensive midfielder Josuha Guilavogui dropped back to start in center defense against Köln last weekend.
The company club sit 17th in the table and have allowed 10 goals in their first five games.
