VfL Wolfsburg are eyeing a transfer coup as they’re working on the signing of Moroccan wonderkid Yassir Zabiri. The 20-year-old was the top-scorer in the recent U20 World Cup as his five goals helped Morocco to a maiden triumph.
Sky report that Wolfsburg are interested in the striker, and talks are ongoing with FC Famalicão. Zabiri has scored four Liga Portugal goals since his return to club football after a successful tournament in Chile. The Marrakech-born striker scored both goals when Morocco beat Argentina 2-0 in the final.
He joined Famalicão for only €600k at the start of last season from Moroccan side Union Touarga. According to Sky, Wolfsburg are ready to pay up to €13 million to sign the player. He has a contract until 2028 with no release clause.
