Kicker journalist Thomas Hiete reports that Brentford wing-back Mads Roerslev may soon be moving to Wolfsburg.
Die Wölfe managing director Peter Christiansen – having recently brought Danish international Andreas Skov Olsen to the Bundesliga – apparently has eyes for another one of his countrymen.
Skov Olsen largely fills the vacancy created by Ridle Baku’s departure, but VfL trainer Ralph Hasenhüttl could still benefit from a classically trained right full-back also capable of functioning as a forward wing-back. Roerslev has proven himself in this capacity over the course of five-and-a-half seasons spent playing in West London.
The once-capped international has increased his estimated market worth from €500,000 to €12m since joining the Bees. Roerslev would certainly constitute a higher quality target that SC Freiburg fullback Kiliann Sildillia, with whom Wolfsburg have also been linked. Hiete – a reporter with inside sources at the club – confirms that VfL administrators are keen to bring the EPL professional in.
