Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are of course set to return to action in short order.
Fresh off a dominant return to winning ways at the expense of Celta Vigo last time out, Real will aim build yet further momentum heading into the international break, courtesy of a 2nd successive victory, on this occasion at El Sadar.

As alluded to above, though, one glaring omission was noted, in Los Blancos’ frontline.
After initially being named in Real’s travelling party bound for Pamplona, it came as a major surprise when, just hours before kick-off, Joselu was nowhere to be seen:

As per an official statement on the part of the La Liga table-toppers, the club’s veteran frontman is suffering with a bout of gastroenteritis:
‘Joselu will not be available this afternoon for the game between Osasuna and Real Madrid, on matchday 29 of LaLiga. The striker has been ruled out at the last minute due to gastroenteritis.’
