An insight into a humorous nickname afforded to the brother of Barcelona head coach Xavi by the club’s playing squad has been provided on Monday.
The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, who point towards Óscar Hernández as being affectionately referred to behind the scenes in Catalunya as ‘Oscar Klopp’.
As much comes for a pair of reasons.
First, it has been noted that the Spaniard – through his beard, glasses and even mannerisms – bears a striking resemblance to Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp.
Not only that, but adding further weight to the comparison between the pair is Oscar Hernández’s exemplary record on the touchline for Barcelona.
To date, owing to a series of suspensions handed down to brother Xavi, Oscar has taken up the reins of the Barca first-team on six occasions.
And the Blaugrana have emerged triumphant from all six, racking up 17 goals, whilst conceding just three.
