West Ham United could sign another forward on transfer deadline day, The Express journalist Ryan Taylor has told GiveMeSport.
The Irons have added to their strike options already this month with a deal for Danny Ings, but Taylor believes they could bring in further additions before the 11pm Deadline.
West Ham transfer news – Danny Ings, Michail Antonio and Terem Moffi
There’s been much speculation around West Ham’s forward line this month, in no small part due to the fact summer signing Gianluca Scamacca has struggled for goals and fitness this season, while Michail Antonio has looked some way off the player that reached double figures in the last three Premier League campaigns.
David Moyes sought to remedy the situation by bringing in Ings from Aston Villa, leading to speculation that Antonio could be heading elsewhere amid reported interest from Wolves.
But actually, it appears West Ham are only interested in boosting their attacking options further. They’ve been targeting Lorient midfielder Terem Moffi and it’s also claimed that even if a deal for the Nigerian international doesn’t happen, the Irons will still be in the market for an attacker today.

What has Ryan Taylor said about West Ham targeting a striker?
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Taylor muted the chances of a deal for Moffi but claimed West Ham are still keen to bring in forward options.
He told GMS: “Moffi isn’t really an option that’s still on the table. West Ham put a good proposal down on the table but the player wasn’t really interested. But I’ve had this confirmed by sources that the signing of Ings hasn’t cooled their pursuit of another forward, so I think we could maybe see something happen there.”
Do West Ham need another forward?
Goals have been a problem for West Ham this season. Jarrod Bowen is their top scorer in the Premier League with just four goals, while Everton and Wolves are the only clubs to score less than them throughout the division.
It makes sense for West Ham to seek more options in that area of the pitch, although it remains to be seen how exactly Moyes would fit four attackers into the same starting XI.
The Hammers usually operate with just one up front, and having four options for a single position would seem to cause more problems than it solves.
But West Ham haven’t had a consistent option on the left this season, while cover for Bowen on the right is virtually non-existent. So if the east Londoners can bring in a forward capable of operating across the front-line, that would be a more worthwhile addition.
