West Ham United have reached a €36m agreement with Ligue 1 side OGC Nice for the signing of France international centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo (24), according to a report this Wednesday from Foot Mercato. However, the move is far from complete considering the former Barcelona centre-back is pushing for a move to join Thiago Motta’s Juventus, and the Serie A side are also keen to secure the services of Jean-Clair Todibo.
The outlet understands that the Hammers and Les Aiglons have agreed upon a loan including a €36m purchase option that does not include performance-related bonuses. As expected, Nice are pushing Jean-Clair Todibo to join West Ham United, but the France international has other plans. Foot Mercato adds that the 24-year-old centre-back has expressed his desire to join Juventus and that the Serie A side are also keen on him, even labeling his signing as a priority, which means talks are expected to go underway between the two clubs, at the probable expense of West Ham United.
