West Ham United ‘have to stick’ with manager David Moyes despite the club’s struggles at the start of this season, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The 59-year-old has enjoyed a very successful three-year spell at the London Stadium but is enduring a tricky run of form domestically at this moment in time.
What is the latest news involving Moyes?
Moyes was first appointed as West Ham manager back in November 2017 on a six-month contract, inheriting a side that was languishing in 18th place after two wins from their first 11 Premier League games.
And the Scotsman impressed after taking over the reins from Slaven Bilic, guiding the east London outfit to a 13th-placed finish in the top-flight standings.
However, it was Manuel Pellegrini who got the job on a permanent basis until Moyes was reappointed back in December 2019.

Consecutive top-seven finishes followed in the previous two campaigns alongside an eye-catching run to the Europa League semi-finals last term, re-establishing Moyes’ reputation as a top-class coach.
Yet eight defeats from their opening 14 Premier League fixtures alongside a shock third-round exit in the Carabao Cup to Blackburn Rovers has begun to put some pressure on the West Ham chief’s shoulders.
What has Jones said about Moyes?
Jones has informed GiveMeSport that he believes everything will be ‘fine’ at West Ham and that the capital club should remain loyal to Moyes until ‘his job is untenable’.
He said: “I think that until there comes a time when his job is untenable, you have to stick with him because this is an experienced manager in the Premier League and who knows his squad well, I think it’s fine.”
Can Moyes turn things around at West Ham?
Following the penalty shootout defeat to Blackburn, first-team coach Mark Warburton claimed that Moyes is ‘frustrated’ and that he feels the fans’ disappointment ‘more than anyone’.
“The manager is frustrated because he knows we’re at home and the fans will leave disappointed. He feels that more than anyone,” said Warburton.
West Ham host an in-form Leicester City in their final outing before the season pauses for the upcoming World Cup, and a positive result against the Foxes will certainly brighten the mood in east London.
Moyes has shown previously that he has the credentials to guide West Ham out of this position, and he surely deserves more time to try and do exactly that.
