Germany’s “Westdeutscher Allgemeine Zeitung” reports that Bayer 04 Leverkusen are now looking a little closer to home in their search for a potential Jeremie Frimpong replacement.

Even though Dutch right fullback/wingback Jeremie Frimpong’s future remains technically undecided, Germany’s red company team reportedly remain active in the search for an immediate replacement. Having already secured a long-term prospect for the position, Germany’s WAZ newspaper now reports that Simon Rolfes and the Bayer administrative team are considering brining in a player from Germany’s other company club.
VfL Wolfsburg right flanker Ridle Baku has seen his ups and downs in his career trajectory under current VfL trainer Niko Kovac. The Mainz-native has already been linked with a move elsewhere this offseason. Baku’s current estimated market worth is a far cry from its peak of €25 million during the spring of 2021. The NRW newspaper reports that Wolfsburg are considering selling the player for a fee in the range of €15-20 million.
