‘War’ – Barcelona boss Xavi fires warning to PSG

Barcelona head coach Xavi has this weekend fired something of a warning shot to upcoming opponents Paris Saint-Germain.

As much, of course, comes ahead of the Champions League showdown between the French and Spanish champions, this Tuesday night.

After battling their way to an impressive 3-2 triumph at the Parc des Princes earlier this week, Barca are set to play host to PSG in two days’ time, with a spot in the Champions League’s semi-finals on the line.

Speaking on the back of his side’s La Liga downing of Cádiz on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the task awaiting his side in midweek was put to the aforementioned Xavi.

And, in his response, the Blaugrana’s headmaster made use of the opportunity to issue a rallying cry.

Confirming his side’s intention to do ‘something big’ at Montjuïc, Xavi pointed towards ‘war’ being in store between the Catalans, and PSG:

“On Tuesday against PSG, we will go to war. The match comes during our best form this season. We want to do something big.”
