La Liga outfit Villarreal look set to welcome back a key member of the club’s squad for their upcoming meeting with Getafe.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Gerard Moreno as the player in question.
Frontman Moreno, for his part, has not taken to the pitch since all the way back on gameweek 3 of the La Liga campaign.
This comes owing to a muscular injury suffered en route to Villarreal’s last-gasp 4-3 victory over Celta Vigo.
The Spanish international returned to training last week, since ramping up his efforts to return to full fitness through a combination of individualised and group work.
And, as per the aforementioned MD, as much appears to have done the trick.
This comes amid confirmation that Moreno ‘seems to be cleared’ for competitive action, meaning the 32-year-old is expected to take his place in Marcelino’s matchday squad for next weekend’s La Liga meeting with Getafe.
