kicker reports that VfB Stuttgart have made an opening offer for Nürnberg midfielder Casper Jander worth €8m.
Last week, it was reported that Stuttgart had reached a verbal agreement with the Germany under-21 midfielder, and will now begin negotiations with the 2.Bundesliga side for Jander.
It was previously quoted by people at the club that Jander would cost €20m; however, this price is unlikely, and Stuttgart’s first offer is €8m Nürnberg would like a double-digit million fee for the 22-year-old.
Stuttgart are also in negotiations for PAOK attacking midfielder Giannis Konstantelias. The Swabians recently had a fee worth €14m rejected by the Greek side, who want around €20m.
Nevertheless, the biggest transfer story related to Stuttgart at the moment is the future of Nick Woltemade. Following Jamal Musiala’s injury at the Club World Cup, this transfer saga is set to gain more traction.
Nürnberg have already sold Stuttgart one of their players this year, with Finn Jeltsch moving to Mercedestraße in January for €8m. On top of this, the Frankens have also lost Stefanos Tzimas (Brighton, €26.5m) and Jens Castrop (Borussia Mönchengladbach, €4.5m).
