As reported by Sky Germany, VfB Stuttgart face competition from a number of Bundesliga clubs for Hugo Vetlesen from FK Bodø/Glimt.
Last winter, Stuttgart were keen on signing the midfielder. However, the transfer never materialised due to the club’s financial framework. The 22-year-old Norwegian international will likely leave in the summer with a number of German clubs keeping tabs on the ongoing situation.
As well as Stuttgart, clubs such as Union Berlin, VfL Bochum, and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keeping tabs on Vetlesen.
Vetlesen has been with FK Bodø/Glimt since 2020 moving from fellow Norwegian side Stabæk Fotball. The midfielder has played over 60 competitive matches for his current club and also has experience in the Champions League and the Europa League.
Stuttgart are currently in a relegation battle in the Bundesliga and sit 14th. Only goal difference is keeping them out of the relegation play-off zone. Should Stuttgart face relegation, they would almost certainly be out of the running for Hugo Vetlesen.
