With the future of Sehrou Guirassy up in the air due to the constant rumours that he may leave the club soon, VfB Stuttgart have begun to look at potential replacements according to Sky Germany.
Stuttgart currently have two potential candidates that could replace the 27-year-old if he were to depart. The first is Braga’s Simon Banza, the striker is currently the top scorer in the Portuguese first division with 13 goals however an acquisition of the DR Congo international would not be cheap for Stuttgart and could cost between €8-10m.
The alternative is Torino’s Antonio Sanabria, the Paraguayan is less prolific than Banza and would likely be cheaper. Stuttgart are more interested in loaning Samabria.
Panathinaikos’ Fotis Ioannidis is another option for Stuttgart but the Greek side does not want to let the striker leave in the winter, so any interest would likely be sparked again in the summer.
Guirassy currently has a release clause in his contract worth less than €20m and has attracted interest from across Europe. A move in the winter for the 27-year-old does not seem to make sense due to him likely departing for the Africa Cup of Nations in the new year.
