As reported by Relevo, Real Betis have reached an agreement to sign Johnny Cardoso from Brazilian side Internacional in the winter or summer transfer window.
The deal, which can be activated in different scenarios, will be affected by the salary limit and Betis’ sporting priorities.
Betis have the option to bring in Cardoso from Internacional in the winter window, however, this is dependent on them receiving funds through a sale. Betis, therefore, have control over the deal, while Internacional and the player await their final decision.
The 22-year-old has scored two league goals in 16 appearances for Internacional this season and has also made nine appearances for the USMNT.
Although the midfielder failed to make Gregg Berhalter’s USA squad for the 2022 World Cup, he made appearances in recent friendlies against Germany and Ghana.
Betis are currently eighth in La Liga with four wins from their opening 11 games.
