Bayern Munich will face another tough negotiation to extend the contract of a key defender.
Dayot Upamecano is entering the final year of his current contract with Bayern Munich. After their success in extending with key players like Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich, the Bavarians’ officials now face another tricky negotiation.
And, according to L’Équipe, the 26-year-old will not accept a new deal without a huge salary increase. However, the French outlet mentioned he’s feeling comfortable in Munich and has a good relationship with Vincent Kompany.
The French center-back missed Bayern’s quarter-final defeat in the Champions League after suffering an injury while he was on international duty. He was back on the pitch for the Club World Cup, playing alongside new signing Jonathan Tah.
