Two long-time members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Saturday etched their names indellibly into the storied history books of the club.
As much, of course, comes fresh off Real adding yet another piece of silverware to the club’s bulging trophy cabinet.
Los Blancos marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Wembley for a meeting with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final.
And, when all was said and done, despite being dominated for much of the 90 minutes, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops again got the job done.
Owing to goals on the part of Dani Carvajal and Vinícius Jr, Real emerged on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline in London.
Los Blancos, in turn, lifted the club’s record-extending 15th Champions League title.
And, as alluded to above, in the process, two members of Ancelotti’s ranks secured for themselves a shared piece of history which will not be soon forgotten.
The pair in question come in the form of Nacho, and Luka Modrić.
Both have now racked up 26 titles across their respective Real Madrid careers, more than any other player in club history.
