As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, two Bundesliga clubs are interested in Borussia Dortmund forward Cole Campbell.
The 19-year-old American feels he is ready to earn his stripes in the Bundesliga and isn’t short of potential suitors.
Campbell’s aim this season is to play regular top-flight football and even be considered for the United States team ahead of their home World Cup in 2026.
Bundesliga Interest
Both VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt are currently showing an interest in the forward.
The Hessian club have had positive experiences with BVB youngsters in recent years, including Ansgar Knauff and Nnamdi Collins.
However, it’s VfB who currently lead the way in trying to sign Campbell.
The forward is leaning towards Stuttgart, but has ruled out the possibility of a loan.
However, one possible stumbling block is BVB’s estimated value for the player.
Dortmund are currently demanding €6m-€7m for the youngster. For someone who has only played 11 times in the 3. Liga last season, that’s a heavy fee.
