Two members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona were subjected to boos and whistles by sections of the club’s supporters on Monday night.
As much came in the buildup to the final outing of Barca’s pre-season schedule.
Hansi Flick’s troops marked their return to action yesterday evening, locking horns with AS Monaco in the latest edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy.
Prior to proceedings getting underway in Catalunya’s capital, the Blaugrana’s squad was presented to the club’s fanbase, a tradition ahead of new seasons being kicked into gear.
And, unfortunately, some members of the crowd in attendance at Montjuïc deemed this as a perfect opportunity to air their grievances.
As much came by way of boos and whistles for two members of Hansi Flick’s squad.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Frenkie De Jong with the number 21 and Clément Lenglet with the number 25 on his back, were greeted with boos, whistles and applause from the fans present at Montjuïc.’
