Toulouse midfielder Branco van den Boomen (27) is on the verge of joining Ajax on a free transfer, according Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has confirmed that there is an agreement in principle between the player and the Dutch giants.
The imminent move represents a significant coup for Ajax, who are reportedly securing the services of the talented midfielder on a long-term deal. Van der Boomen’s arrival is expected to be finalised after he undergoes medical tests in the coming days.
The 25-year-old midfielder has had an impressive season at Toulouse, where he scored five goals and provided eight assists in 33 matches. His performances played a crucial role in Toulouse’s successful campaign, culminating in their triumph in the Coupe de France. The Dutchman was also voted into the Get French Football News Team of the Season.
