Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani (24) as a replacement for the departing Harry Kane, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
Talks between the North London side and the France international have already started. Kolo Muani would be keen on a move to the Premier League side. Tottenham are expected to part ways with Kane as the England skipper is entering the final year of his contract.
The club’s all-time record goalscorer is being courted by Bayern giants Bayern Munich and ostensibly has no intention of renewing with Spurs. Tavolieri believes that the ENIC Group – led by the club’s owner Joseph Lewis – have greenlit Kane’s sale to the Bundesliga outfit.
The journalist adds that talks between Eintracht Frankfurt and Tottenham have not yet started. Tavolieri understand that it would take up to €80m for the Bundesliga side to let go of their prized asset. For his first season at Frankfurt after his breakout years at Nantes, Kolo Muani took the Bundesliga by storm, logging 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 games played in all competitions. The France international is tied to Eintracht on a contract set to expire in 2027.
