BILD report that Tottenham Hotspur, alongside Borussia Dortmund, are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt and Japan international midfielder Daichi Kamada (26).
The Japanese playmaker has received a contract offer from Eintracht to extend his deal beyond 2023 but his performances in the Bundesliga has attracted interest from BVB and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
SGE are hoping to extend the contract of Kamada, who has 12 goals and four assists in 22 games across all competitions this season. When Kamada has scored, Eintracht have won 90% of their fixtures.
But Kamada faces a choice. Remain at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he’s played since 2017, or leave. The 26-year-old came close to joining Portuguese side Benfica on deadline day in the summer. If SGE don’t tie Kamada down to a new contract, they face losing him on a free transfer in 2023, if they don’t sell in January.
Kamada started all four games for Japan at the World Cup.
