Tottenham are accelerating a deal to sign promising Monaco starlet Maghnes Akliouche before the transfer deadline, journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed.
The North London side are reportedly targeting the promising Ligue 1 playmaker as an alternative to Savinho, whom Manchester City are unwilling to sell in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Spurs saw two bids rejected for the 21-year-old winger, with their latest proposal of £60m failing to satisfy Man City, who signed Savinho from French side Troyes for £30m last summer.
There is a sense Akliouche, who is an excellent dribbler of the ball ‘like Eberechi Eze’, could be available for the much cheaper valuation of £47.5m, with Monaco open to a sale if their demands are met.
