Toni Kroos predicts which teams face relegation from the Bundesliga

Real Madrid and former German international Toni Kroos has predicted which teams will be relegated from the Bundesliga, SportBild reports.

Speaking on his podcast, Einfach mal Luppen, which he runs with his brother, Felix, the World Cup winner discussed the current relegation battle in the Bundesliga.

Before giving his prediction, the 33-year-old explained he was surprised to see one team down the bottom in particular: “When I think of the question, which team can’t fight relegation?, the first thing that would have come to mind was Hoffenheim because I wouldn’t have expected them there. I would have expected the other teams there, Hoffenheim not so much.”

The central midfielder then gave his final prediction as to who he believes will face automatic relegation.

“I think when the last three or four games are approaching and they are still there, Hoffenheim will have a problem. Otherwise, I think Stuttgart and Schalke will be relegated, that’s my feeling,” explains Kroos.

Brother Felix only partially agrees with his older sibling: “I see Stuttgart on a very bad path. I’m still convinced that Schalke will be relegated and Hertha, if I see it that way in the table, the three of them will decide who will be relegated.”

Between both brothers, it’s clear that they don’t see much hope for VfB Stuttgart. Head coach Bruno Labbadia (57) took over the Swabians at the beginning of December. In his opening ten games, Labbadia has only managed one victory. Stuttgart currently sit 18th in the table on 20 points. Their next fixture after the international will be away to high-flying Union Berlin on April 1st.
