Emil Forsberg played a key role in RB Leipzig’s 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt today, scoring and providing an assist in the first half.

In a post-match interview, the Swedish international described the match as a game of two halves.

“It was a really good game with a lot of intensity. The two halves were really different; we were better in the first half and Frankfurt were better in the second, but we got the win in the end. We played really well before half time, found a lot of solutions in possession and switched the ball a lot. That’s how we like to play,” he said.

“Frankfurt did really well in the second half. We were trying to counter attack after the early goal and we had a few really good chances. But we were playing against a really good team with a lot of quality.

“We’re taking things game-by-game and always want to improve. We have a really exciting game on Friday,” Forsberg said with a view ahead to the upcoming top-of-the-table clash with Borussia Dortmund.
