In spite of the fact that they won their fifth consecutive match, there may be some unfortunate news looming for second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Substituted off in the 29th minute of Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Bremen, Youssoufa Moukoko exited proceedings on Saturday with what appeared to be an injury to his left shin. The young German phenom, hurt on a 50-50 with Bremen’s Leonardo Bittencourt, clearly couldn’t continue even after an extended treatment break.
BVB trainer Edin Terzic had bad news to report concerning the striker. Specifically noting that “it’s not looking good”, Terzic revealed that Moukoko is scheduled for further examinations on Monday. An MRI can be presumed. A potential structural bone injury could leave the 18-year-old unable to compete for the rest of the season.
#BVB-Trainer Terzic zu Moukoko: Wir haben noch keine Diagnose und müssen abwarten, bis wir am Montag die Bilder sehen. Aber es leider nicht ganz so gut aus. #SVWBVB
