Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic is pleased with the improvement Nico Schlotterbeck has shown over the course of the season so far following his move from Freiburg last summer.

“He has consolidated himself more and more from game to game and played his way into the hearts of the fans, not only with his goals, but also with his attitude – how he throws himself into duels, how he wants to block shots, how he absolutely does everything for success,” Terzic told reporters ahead of Dortmund’s DFB-pokal clash with Bochum tonight.

“That’s something we were hoping for before we signed him. We’re happy about his development and hope he’s not done yet, but has room for improvement. We want to help him with that. We are happy that he is part of our team.”

Schlotterbeck, 23, has featured 27 times for Dortmund, racking up three goals and four assists.
