Mathys Tel has revealed why the white bandage on his right wrist is so special to him.
Bayern Munich youngster Mathys Tel has revealed why he always plays with a white bandage on his right wrist.
“I’ve had the brace since I was a kid in the U13s in Aubervilliers,” Tel said in an interview with Goal and Spox.
“It’s something very meaningful. It reminds me of where I come from and has given me a certain strength. That’s why I always carry it with me, and I think I always will.”
Tel was recently named as one of nine winners in Goal’s 2023 NXGN list, which features the 50 most promising players in world football born on or after January 1, 2004.
The 17-year-old Frenchman has made 21 appearances for Bayern, finding the net five times.
