Coming off a 3-0 win over Union Berlin, in-form Eintracht Frankfurt travel to Finland to take on HJK in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
Dino Toppmöller’s side are unbeaten in their last six matches, winning five of them. That run includes an emphatic 6-0 home win over HJK, who will be hoping for a different result on Thursday night.
HJK haven’t played since that match, as the 2023 Veikkausliiga season ended in late October with the club being crowned champions for the fourth time in a row.
Eintracht have fresh injury concerns at the back, with Tuta (shoulder) and Robin Knoch (knock in training) both ruled out. They are expected to be replaced by Hrvoje Smolcic and Makoto Hasebe.
With Philipp Max ineligible to play in Europe, Niels Nkounkou is likely to start at left wing-back, while Aurelio Buta and Mario Gotze could also come into the starting line-up depending on how much Toppmöller wants to rotate.
